Occupancy sensors sense the presence of humans in boardrooms, storerooms, conference halls and other energy hungry environments. Once a human presence is sensed, the lights are switched on. When the sensor does not detect a presence for a period, the sensor will automatically switch the lights off, conserving energy.

In restrooms, similar systems will switch on ventilation fans, extracting foul air only while the facility is in use.

A wide range of devices is available allowing for any sized area to be effectively covered. Sensors can be used to switch other loads as well if required.

The sensors can be remotely controlled and have manual override. The units can be programmed for a specific level of lighting in a particular venue. This means that lighting is only switched on if necessary and if there is someone in the room.
