Thane Engineering Support Services (known as TESS) is a sole proprietor, general contractor operating in Cape Town since 2005. Our focus is rental property maintenance and management. We cover check in and check out inspections, handover of keys and rental agent support. In the event that there is damage or cleaning to be done, we are available at short notice. We work with older clients and disabled clients to improve access and mobility. We modify existing residences to accommodate people who have unique requirements. This includes ramps, pathways, kitchen and bathroom modifications and other direct access services that create and enhance independent living. TESS works autonomously and/or under the direction of interior designers and architects, and undertakes interior and exterior construction, renovation and decorating contracts. We work with concrete, cement, timber, paint, and a range of other materials. We make good after plumbers, electricians and others have carried out major repairs. We reinstate plaster and paint, repair and replace cupboards, and finish off surfaces such as mosaic, tiles, carpets, laminate, and vinyl flooring. TESS pays particular attention to environmental issues with a focus on reducing water usage. TESS actively ensures that building material and waste does not pollute gardens, flower beds, and the sewerage and storm water systems, and that run-off is minimised and controlled. |
